On June 28th and 29th, the city of Zadar (Croatia) hosted the 4th International Training and Research Seminar “Safe Fall–Safe Schools”, organised in close collaboration with the European Judo Union, the University of Seville and the Croatian Judo Federation.
The event brought together 42 university professors, judo coaches, and high-level athletes from six different countries, who engaged in productive discussions focused on the proactive prevention of unintentional falls, a key issue in both sports and educational environments.

This edition marked a significant step forward in the development of the Safe Fall–Safe Schools program, particularly through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into fall prevention research. This innovative approach strengthens the project’s mission: building safer schools through judo-based education and research. The EJU is proud to support initiatives that not only promote judo as a sport but also as a powerful educational tool that benefits wider society.
