Athletes' Commission finally fixed

NEW! The European Judo Union is counting on the support of the EJU Athletes’ Commission from now on. “We will involve them in all sports matters, counting on their experience and know-how”, confirms EJU Vice-President Hrvoje LINDI. Together, the nine athlete representatives have won six Olympic medals (two of them gold), 12 World Championship medals (including six titles), six European Championship gold medals and 15 Grand Slam titles. The average age is 29.7 years.

The chairmanship will be taken over by double Olympic champion Lukas KRPALEK /CZE/-100). He has four female and four male colleagues at his side: Maria CENTRACCHIO (ITA/-63), Larisa CERIC (BIH/+78), Priscilla GNETO (FRA/-57), Barbara MATIC (CRO/-70); Aleksandar KUKOLJ (SRB/-100), Rustam ORUJOV (AZE/-73), Nikoloz SHERAZADISHVILI (ESP/-100) and Krisztian TOTH (HUN/-90).

First informal talks will already take place on the sidelines of the World Championships in Doha (QAT/07 – 14.05).
