VETERAN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS RELOCATES TO HISTORIC ISLE OF CRETE

This years Veteran European Judo Championships was scheduled to take place in Athens, Greece but changes have been made by the Greek federation and the decision has now been made to relocate the event to Crete.

The dates will remain the same, seeing the judoka compete from the 2nd to the 5th of June. We are sure that the beautiful location will set as the perfect backdrop for the event, as well as offering up a great destination for those in attendance following the event. Due to the pandemic, the veteran judoka haven’t seen a European championship event since 2019 in Gran Canaria with 828 competing from 35 nations.

The Cretan island hosted for the first time in 2019, the cadet European cup event in Chania and was attended by the Ambassador of Japan to Greece, Mr. Yasuhiro Shimizu.
