More than 400 judoka’s from 18 countries participate in the Junior European Cup Top Ranking in Kiev. On four tatami junior judoka were fighting in the lightest weight categories for women: U44, U48, U52 and U57 kg and for junior: U50, U55, U60, U66 and U73 kg.
World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Vitaliy Klitschko visited the Junior European Cup.
After the first day of Junior European Cup in Kiev debutants of the tournament, the Brazilian team dominated. They colleted two gold medals, two silver and one bronze. Romania is ranked scond with two gold medals. The Ukrainian home team is currebtly ranked third after the first day winning 9 medals, on fo them gold.(1-2-6). One gold medal was claimed by the juniors of Uzbekistan, Georgia and Poland.
