A new week means new chances to chase our goals, and since it’s Monday, let’s put this in a judo context as there are some key locations to watch out for. Camps and competitions are in full swing across Europe and beyond.

First Things First: Training Camps
From 10-12 February, two locations will be buzzing with action. In Genova, hundreds of cadets will push their endurance to the limit while honing their skills. Meanwhile, in Sarajevo, another wave of junior judoka will be racking up as much randori practice as humanly possible.
Midweek Momentum: Baku Grand Slam Arrival
Come midweek, it is time for the elites to touch down and step up! Between 14-16, Baku, Azerbaijan will host the annual Baku Grand Slam, with over 270 judoka from 38 countries vying for the coveted title and a nice loaf of prize money. While world ranking points are not the biggest concern for most at this stage, there are two reasons they still matter:
1️⃣ Securing qualification for the 2025 World Championships
2️⃣ Locking in a strong seeding position at the Worlds

Cadets on the Move: Slovakia Up Next
Once the training camps wrap up and a little rest is secured, it is game on for over 700 young judoka from 31 nations at the Samorin Millennium Cadet European Cup 2025 in Slovakia. Full entry lists are available via this link.
Tunisia Calling: Triple the Action
If you find yourself in Tunisia this week, you are in for a treat. Starting Thursday, the country will play host to not one, not two, but three tournaments: the Cadet Cup, Junior Cup, and Senior Open. Nearly 500 judoka across all three age groups will battle for podium glory, all against the stunning backdrop of sunny Tunis.
