World Cup Tallinn Draw

The draw for the EJU World Cup in Tallinn brought in a number of nice matches to look forward. Especially in this weekend’s U81 weight class where some of Estonian talents will start. Aleksandr Marmeliuk (5th at the European U23 in 2007 and 2008) will face Swiss Micha Egger in his first match in the same tough table with Antonio Ciano (ITA). Estonian Georgi Ladogin (3rd at the European U20 in 2008) will have to compete with Hungarian Szabolcs Kriszan.

Under 60kg Elio Verde, another Italian favourite, will face Estonian Nikita Lopouhhov. He’s in the same table with Sofiane Milous (FRA) and Dmitrijs Kozlovs (LAT).
On the other side last week’s winner in Bucharest, Pavel Petrikov starts.

Under 66kg home favourite Kunter Rothberg starts against Sami Rintamaki from Finland.

Under 73 Yoel Razvozov (ISR) and Krzystof Wilkomirski (POL) should reach the semi-finals to meet eachother. Tomasz Adamiec (POL) is in the same table with Slovenian Champion Saso Jereb.

On Sunday Alexei Budolin (EST) faces Dmytro Markov (UKR) in his first match. Budolin was European champion in 2001. He’s in the same table with Valentin Grekov, triple European champion and French champion Nicolas Brisson.
Former Olympic champion Ilias Iliadis is drawn on the other side of the table and is one of the major favourites for a final spot.

Jevgenijs Borodavko (LAT) was bronze medalist at the Europeans this year. He should be able to win some matches on Sunday with his current status. He opens against Estonian Mikhel Joemagi.
Ariel Zeevi, triple European champion U100kg, is drawn against Frederic Stiegelmann from France.
