During the debut European Open of 2025 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the European Judo Union were pleased to announce a continued partnership with Zebra Athletics.
The official announcement came during the opening ceremony, when André KRÜGER, Sales Director of Zebra Athletics and Dietmar NOWAK, founder of DAX-Sport, were thanked for their contribution to the European Judo Union by Vice President of the EJU, Dr Ivan TODOROV and Head Marketing Director, Oleksandr NAGIBIN.
Having already been a member of the EJU Family for the past cycle, it was very welcome news that Zebra Athletics would continue until 2028. The EJU Partner are the world’s leading training facility outfitter, offering premier-quality flooring, mats, and more, backed by experts who design, install, and maintain outstanding facilities, in fact they were the first flooring company to market premium quality mat systems.
Mr Krüger explained how the nature of judo and the EJU influenced the continued work,
We are really happy to announce that we are continuing our partnership with the EJU, we have been working together for the past three years already and it was fruitful partnership. For us, one of the main reasons we decided to continue is the family element, the EJU really has this family feeling and I believe we have the same goals and targets in the judo industry.
I actually don’t have a history with judo, so I was thrown in to it but I have become a great fan and spectator! Zebra have been leading manufacturers for judo mats for 54 years, we’re a leading manufacturer worldwide, partners from America to Australia. We really use our network of distributors to work together and with this we have created a family.
