Adidas combat sports is driven worldwide by Double D, a French company founded in 1994 and the brand’s exclusive global licensee since 2005. Operating from Europe and active in over 100 countries, Double D leads, develops and deploys the global adidas combat sports strategy, from product creation to international distribution, always connected to the realities of the field.

Our story is deeply rooted in judo. In 2005, adidas judo was created with a clear ambition: to elevate judo equipment, performance and standards worldwide. Since then, judo has been the technical, cultural and
strategic foundation of our expertise. Double D is a company run by judoka, for judoka. Former elite athletes and combat sports professionals, our teams share an intimate understanding of life on the tatami: precision, durability, IJF compliance, competition performance and reliability in daily training.

This deep field expertise has enabled Double D to build a strong global reputation in judo and
combat sports, driven by:

• grassroots development close to clubs and federations,

• IJF-approved judogi made from BCI cotton,
• karategi developed with recycled polyester,
• vegan boxing gloves made from cactus leather,
